Singapore Airlines has become an increasingly popular option for Australians traveling overseas. The KrisFlyer program is free to join and gives you access to benefits such as priority boarding, lounge access, increased baggage allowance and upgraded fares.

Points – Earning & Expiry

You can earn KrisFlyer Miles by flying with Singapore Airlines or by making purchases with one of their partners. The amount of points you earn on flights will depend on your booking class and the distance traveled, but note that some flights are exempt from earning points. KrisFlyer Miles expire after three years unless they are earned in a contest, in which case they last one year.

Redeeming Krisflyer Miles

Redeeming your KrisFlyer miles online for award tickets and upgrades can be achieved in a number of ways. You can use your KrisFlyer miles to pay for all or a part of your next airfare on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir. If you do not have enough miles, you can also mix miles and cash for your next Singapore Airlines/SilkAir airfare.
