Membership/Status

The number of elite status points you earn with the American Airlines AAdvantage program is based on a combination of earned miles and the class of service purchased. You can earn elite qualifying points, miles and segments for travel on eligible fare tickets on:

  • American Airlines
  • American Eagle
  • American Connection carrier
  • Oneworld member airlines and their affiliates
  • Alaska Airlines (including Horizon Air)
  • US Airways (including US Airways Express and US Airways Shuttle)
